Monarh started in 2012, in a small workshop, with a cutting table, a sewing machine and lots of ideas. At first, I didn't have a written plan or strategy. I started simply — I wanted to create clothes that I and the women around me could find themselves in. Clothes that had personality , not just shape.
From idea to brand
The first pieces I made were for friends. They were dresses sewn at night, out of a desire to build something unique, well-made, that looked exactly how I felt it should look. Then came the recommendations. Independent presentations, magazine appearances, people who started to recognize the Monarh style without seeing the label.
This is how the brand grew: step by step, naturally. Without artifice. With attention to detail, with respect for the cut and with the desire to work impeccably. I have always chosen quality over quantity and clarity over fuss.
Monarh today is about women who know what they want and don't feel the need to prove anything. Women who feel good in well-made clothes, in pieces that don't take trends into account, but aesthetics.
I don't follow trends. I listen to them, filter them, and sometimes rewrite them.
At Monarh, fashion doesn't come with rules. It comes with a message.

Each Monarh piece is designed from scratch and signed by Larisa Lupoiu. From the first sketches, to the choice of materials, to the final details, everything is created with intention and coherence.

Made in Romania
All Monarh pieces are made entirely in Romania, in our own facilities. We have a creative workshop where models are born, materials are tested and cut details are defined.
We work only with carefully selected materials – natural silk, taffeta, tulle, velvet, Italian fabrics and French brocade – complemented by premium accessories and details handmade in our workshop.

Meet Larisa - the person behind the brand
I am Larisa Lupoiu , the founder and creative voice behind Monarh Design. I started this brand out of a desire to create clothes that don't follow pre-established rules, but rather express clarity, balance, and identity. I studied fashion design and business, but I learned the most by building step by step — both in fashion and in the other creative fields I've been through in the last 20 years.
Every Monarh collection bears my imprint .
I like to work with clean shapes, clear proportions and subtle messages. I always look for a balance between idea and execution, between emotion and construction. For me, clothes are not just objects . They are visual expressions of a state, of a way of being.
I believe that the role of a designer is not to impose, but to observe. To listen to the woman who wears his clothes and tell her story through line, texture, and attitude.
Over time, Monarh has consolidated its presence in the public space, with appearances in the fashion press, TV shows that promote Romanian creativity, and participation on reference, local and international catwalks.
